Benito Mussolini dissolves the Italian parliament and becomes a dictator of the Italian state. The General Election held in October 1924 is won by the Conservative Party lead by Stanley Baldwin. On the Eve of the General Election the Foreign Office published the Zinoviev Letter. Federal Elections are held in Germany in December with the SDP remaining the largest party and Wilhelm Marx remaining Chancellor. Having been released early from his prison sentence Hitler re-establishes the NSDAP in Munich. The Labour Government of Ramsay MacDonald is brought to an end through a vote of no confidence in the House of Commons. Newcastle United beat Aston Villa 2-0 in the FA Cup Final in April 1924.
